The front of the t-shirt has “Disney Vacation Club Holidays 2020” embroidered with festive red, green, and white lettering! Disney Vacation Club Holiday T-Shirt While the front of the t-shirt is pretty understated, the back has a much larger design that ties in an adorable gingerbread castle, and a snowman wearing a Mickey Ear hat! Discover Disney Vacation Club, a vacation ownership program or timeshare that can be a more cost-effective way of taking Disney vacations. Members can enjoy access to Disney Vacation Club Resorts like Copper Creek Villas & Cabins at Disney's Wilderness Lodge and Bay Lake Tower at Disney's Contemporary Resort.

What kind of design project can I request from the communications and marketing office?

The communications and marketing office can design:

  • posters and flyers
  • oversized posters and banners
  • brochures
  • postcards
  • bookmarks
  • digital artwork for web use or social media

The DVC communications and marketing office must design any promotional materials or publications that are mailed or otherwise distributed anywhere outside of the physical DVC campus.

Flyers, posters, and documents representing a department or program, intended for current students, and only for on-campus distribution, do not need to be created or approved by the marketing office, but design standards must always be followed.

If you would like to create an on-campus design project without assistance from the communications and marketing office, please refer to our style guides.

How do I submit a design request?

Site

In order for the communications and marketing office to efficiently process and create your design, we require that all requests be submitted through our Design Project Request Form. Please note that your copy (written word) must be final and approved by all stakeholders before you submit your request as all copy changes will only be made in extenuating circumstances.

Printed materials (posters and flyers) promoting an event must be posted for at least two weeks prior to the event.

Important information to consider before submitting a project request:

  • What are the goals for your project?
  • How will you know if you met your goals? How will you measure your results?
  • Who is your audience? (Be specific -- Current full-time, current part-time, traditional age, etc.)
  • What do you want them to know?
  • When is the event or deadline?
  • Where do you want them to go?
  • What is your budget? (please have GL ready for your color printing needs)
  • What type of support do you need from the communications and marketing office?

What happens after I submit my request?

If your request contains all required information, you will be contacted by a member of the communications and marketing office within two business days to schedule a meeting to further discuss the project, copy, timelines, and design ideas.

If your request is missing information or is not clear, you will be contacted by a member of the communications and marketing office within two business days letting you know what is still needed.

Please note that the communications and marketing office cannot commit to any timelines before all required information is submitted.

How long will my design request take?

Once you've submitted the form with all required information, we can meet to discuss how long your project will take. Generally, all jobs will take between two-five weeks to complete. Some may be longer or shorter depending on scope.

General timeline:

  • One - three weeks for design and production
  • One - two weeks for print and distribution
  • Brochures generally take longer - up to seven weeks

Keep in mind when considering timelines, all printed materials (posters and flyers) promoting an event must be posted for at least two weeks prior to the event.

Design and production

Once our graphics specialist has completed your project, you will be able to review the design and check for any copy errors. Copy changes, other than marketing office errors, will be at the discretion of our graphics specialist and only in extenuating circumstances. For this reason, it is very important that your submitted copy be final and approved by all stakeholders.

In addition, this review will be your only chance to suggest or request minor design changes. All design projects represent DVC and as our graphics specialist is the college brand expert, her design decisions are final. Once a design has been implemented, a request for redesign is not an option.

What if I am not able to meet required deadlines?

As the number of design projects we are working on at any given time varies, please submit your project and we will see what we can do.
